A Tribute to the Forest, Cast in Brass
Every design begins with a feeling. For Enchanted, that feeling is wonder — the particular hush that falls over a forest, where light filters through branches and every surface seems to be quietly, patiently growing.
It is a feeling that The Story Behind the Design series keeps returning to: an ongoing look at the ideas, inspirations, and artistry behind KOKET’s most iconic creations, one story at a time.
Few designs make that feeling as literal — or as lasting — as Enchanted.
Where It Began: A Garden in Portugal
Every KOKET design begins with a feeling, but Enchanted began with a place — and with the feeling of returning to it.
The branches that wind through the collection are not an abstraction. They come from a real garden belonging to the parents of our founder, Janet Morais, in Northern Portugal. It is the kind of garden you return to rather than simply visit: familiar in a way that has nothing to do with novelty, the trees older than the memories made beneath them. For Janet, looking up at those branches was never just seeing wood and leaves. It was seeing home — a specific, rooted attachment to a place that helped shape her long before she ever sketched a piece of furniture.
That feeling, more than any single branch, is what she set out to capture: the particular curve of a limb reaching for light, the knots and turns that no two share, and underneath it all, the quiet pull of a place that means something.

KOKET has always designed with nature as a recurring muse — Air, Water, Earth, and Fire, each element finding its way into the brand’s furniture and lighting over the years. Enchanted is the collection’s clearest tribute to the Earth and its most personal: a family garden reimagined in sandcast brass.
Growing the Collection: 2013 to Today
Enchanted entered the KOKET collection in 2013 as a table and chair, three years into the brand’s history. It arrived as part of a wider design language rooted in nature, craft, and the belief that furniture could be as expressive as sculpture. From the beginning, its identity was unmistakable: sinuous, hand-sculpted branches, cast in brass, wrapping around case goods and seating alike. Each one still carrying a trace of that garden in Northern Portugal.
In 2015, the collection grew further with the arrival of the Enchanted Sofa, extending the same branch-cast structure — until then reserved for tables and dining seating — into a fully upholstered, living-room-scale piece. A design emboldened by the choice of textile set behind the organic lace. Next came the Enchanted Stool in 2017, a stunning row of backs when lined up at a bar or counter.
More than a decade later, Enchanted remains one of KOKET’s most recognizable expressions of nature-inspired design.
The Design Story: Branches, Cast in Brass

At the center of Enchanted is a single sandcast brass branch. Molten metal, poured into a sand mold, capturing every curve and knot of a hand-sculpted branch with the same imperfect, organic character as the real thing. It is a technique as old as metalworking itself, and one that gives every Enchanted piece its faintly irregular, unmistakably handmade quality — no two branches ever cast quite the same.

Across the collection, that branch-cast structure, finished in aged brass, becomes the connective thread. On the Enchanted Dining Table and Side Table, it forms the base — a network of gilded limbs holding up a smoked glass, bird’s eye veneer, or ebony veneer top. On the Enchanted Dining Chair and Stool, it becomes the backrest, an open lace of branches silhouetted against upholstery. On the Sofa, it wraps the frame entirely, turning a piece meant for comfort into something that reads, at a glance, like it grew there.

KOKET’s own language for the collection has stayed remarkably consistent since day one: artisans “masterfully capturing the alluring essence of an enchanted forest,” each antique gilded, branch-like structure built to mesmerize. It is a fitting description for a collection whose entire premise is that nature, rendered in metal, loses none of its magic.

The Collection: Five Pieces, One Forest
The Enchanted Dining Table is the collection’s sculptural centerpiece. A round table available with a smoked glass or bird’s-eye veneer top, set on the branch-cast aged brass base that defines the line. It brings the strength and grace of the forest into a dining room or home foyer, balancing everyday function with genuine artistic presence.

The Enchanted Side Table is the smaller, quieter cousin of the dining table. The same gilded branch base beneath an ebony veneer or synthetic leather top. Compact enough to adapt to nearly any room, it is proof that Enchanted’s nature-inspired design works as well in restraint as it does at scale.

The Enchanted Dining Chair and Arm Dining Chair trade the solid branch base for an open one: a backrest of aged brass branches, silhouetted behind fully upholstered seating. Available in any fabric from KOKET’s own textile collection, it moves easily between dining rooms, home offices, and bedrooms, evoking the gentle sway of branches in every piece.

The Enchanted Sofa, added to the collection in 2015, is Enchanted at its most ambitious. A fully upholstered sofa wrapped in the same antique gilded branch structure, its glinting brass frame framing a soft, sculptural body. Available across KOKET’s full textile palette, from moody jewel tones to ethereal neutrals, it turns a living room into the collection’s most immersive expression yet.

The Enchanted Counter Stool and Bar Stool bring the collection’s branch-cast brass and upholstery into the kitchen and the bar. Structurally, they’re closest kin to the Dining Chair, the same aged brass branch silhouette at the back, the same fully upholstered seat, scaled and finished for counter- and bar-height seating.

Custom Options: A Forest Built for You

Enchanted, In the Wild
From dining rooms to living rooms to kitchen counters, Enchanted turns up again and again in KOKET’s most memorable installations — proof that a branch, cast in brass, belongs anywhere.
Enchanted: The Allure of a Branch
There is a reason the word “enchanted” fits so easily here. To be enchanted is to look at something ordinary — a branch, a garden, a walk outside on an unremarkable afternoon — and suddenly see it differently. Nature has always had that power. It doesn’t need to be improved on, only noticed.
That is what this collection has done, piece by piece, since 2013: taken the branches from a garden in Portugal and asked a room to notice them the way Janet once did. Cast in brass, they don’t fade with the seasons or lose their leaves. They hold that first moment of noticing, permanently, in a dining room, a living room, at a kitchen counter.
Nature inspired the design. But it’s the enchantment — the noticing — that gives it its name.
This is the story behind the design. This is Enchanted.
