Integrating luxury home furnishings into our design can sometimes seem like a handfull task. Getting inspiration from real projects is one of the most popular ways to envision the final result. KOKET is proud to be in the most luxurious homes with big and bold designs. However, our pieces can just easily be a part of a timeless and contemporary space.
It is in one of Amsterdam’s attractive row houses that Robin Toetenel and Ingrid Steyrer, the design duo forming Ethnic Chic, revamped an empty house into a timeless interior design space while incorporating KOKET’s luxury home furnishings. The result is a truly stunning canal house, full of custom furniture, lavish fabrics and finishes.
Living Room
The canal house project was worked on day and night. Custom furniture was flown in from all over the world to add cultural soul and character to the space, challenging the designers to new products and brands. One of these exclusive brands is KOKET, whose tempting pieces are seen in the bedroom and living room.
The living room shape has grand ceilings and large windows which the designers used to their advantage. Decorated in tones of aubergine, the designers placed two matching Burlesque Consoles on either side of the living room’s marble replace. The luxury console table’s acrobatic polished brass hoops of the base, paired with exotic reptile embossed velvet and finalized with timeless decor.
There could not be a better twist then the two crazy KOKET consoles we proposed for this project. It really turned the whole living room around from being a beautiful setting to a place with a twist and character. I like that in specific pieces to have that kind of feeling. To add a bit of spice while playing it on the edge. It certainly worked for this project!

Bedroom
The bedroom’s darker touches and rich finishes scream vintage Hollywood boudoir, and no boudoir is complete without luxury home furnishings. KOKET’s Envy Chaise makes an opulent statement in the bedroom design, with soft button tufting and sleek polished brass feet. Above the bed, a Vivre Chandelier casts a sultry glow, with the light shining behind 19 genuine agate slices.
Designed with a seductress in mind the Envy Chaise will ignite your air with luxury design. Fully upholstered in lux upholstery fabric with a tailored cushion. This irresistible chaise is accented with soft button tufting. A chic metal band wraps the body leading to modern and sleek metal feet.
The Vivre offers exquisite vintage details with a decidedly modern profile. The dark neutral tones and the exquisite patterns in the agate stones are uniquely captivating against the light and the gold metal which embraces each stone in perfect harmony and balance. Hand-selected agate slices offer the perfect glow when the light pours through.
