UK based Interior Designer Peter Staunton took inspiration from fashion and rock & roll to create an Art Deco Style design for a family home featuring KOKET, using a monochrome color palette.
Peter Staunton of the eponymous Peter Staunton Interior Design channeled old and new school rock & roll with glamorous and timeless fashion designs, to create a style he calls “Rock & Roll Chic” for his UK design project. Despite being a family home, the owners did not want to go light on hollywood glamour.

Staunton works with a close team of artisans, architects, builders and landscape designers to create a truly holistic and bespoke design experience. So naturally, Staunton turned to KOKET to help make his vision a reality. KOKET’s art-deco styling, quality craftsmanship and bespoke creations helped the “Wolf of Warwickshire” create each room’s own unique identity through the strong and bold pieces. With a monochrome color palette, Staunton chose to upholster KOKET’s Mandy Stools and Besame Chair in an exotic silvery metallic reptile print fabric complimented by the stunning stainless steel finishes.
The vintage-inspired Orchidea Cabinet mimics the rest of the living and dining room’s alluring theme. Black and silver Yasmine Side Table blends nicely with the surrounding Hollywood-like atmosphere. The art piece gluing the entire space together, is the queen of seduction herself, Marilyn Monroe, personified in two diamond dust paintings hanging above the two Orchidea Cabinets. We think she would approve of this lavish makeover.
Sensuous curves and subtle gilt makes the Orchidea an irresistible choice. The oval body is covered in a high gloss lacquer with charming orchid handles adorning the doors and drawers.
Besame’s soft, plump curves will have you lusting for a moment of passion. Be embraced by this fully upholstered chair that sits puckered atop a metal ring base.
Conceived from a cuff bracelet, the Mandy stool will embellish any setting with its soft black velvet upholstery and a base in twisted high-gloss polished brass.
The Yasmine side table will have everyone doing double takes. The sultry silhouette is fashioned from tailored marble and mounted on a solid wooden base.
