Every September, Paris stops being a city and becomes a stage. Courtyards open their gates, ateliers pull back their curtains, and for ten days the streets themselves seem to hum a little louder. This is Paris Design Week 2026<\/strong>, running September 10\u201319, and it arrives, as it always does, arm in arm with Maison Objet 2026<\/strong>, the trade fair that sets the season’s design agenda from its home at Paris Nord Villepinte, September 10\u201314.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together they form one continuous pulse \u2014 literally, this year. Maison&Objet<\/a> has stepped into a new identity, splitting into two distinct heartbeats: Maison&Objet Premier<\/strong> each January, devoted to craftsmanship and the brands that built the industry, and Maison&Objet Pulse<\/strong> each September, built for the bold, the experimental, and the sustainably minded. The September 2026 edition carries the theme Pulse in Motion<\/strong>, with Spanish studio Masquespacio<\/a> stepping in as creative ambassador to bring their signature \u2014 vibrant, emotionally driven, unafraid of color \u2014 to the fair’s central installation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It happens in the gap between a craftsman’s hands and the piece they are still deciding to make. It happens on a sidewalk in Le Marais when a stranger stops mid-step because a window display asked them to feel something. Paris Design Week<\/a> 2026 and Maison Objet 2026 are, at their core, an invitation to feel first and categorize later \u2014 precisely the design philosophy KOKET builds every piece around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Highlights We Are Looking Forward To<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

With more than 360 venues and 540-plus designers from 23 countries taking part, Paris Design Week 2026 \u2014 and the Maison Objet 2026 fair that anchors it \u2014 makes choosing where to spend your ten days its own design challenge. Here is where we are pointing our compass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Design Sur Cour<\/strong> returns to some of the city’s most improbable backdrops \u2014 the Grand Palais, Mus\u00e9e Bourdelle, and H\u00f4tel de la Marine among them \u2014 pairing contemporary design against architecture that has already survived a century or three. There is something quietly thrilling about watching brand-new ideas hold their own inside rooms built for empires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paris Design Week Factory<\/strong> (September 10\u201314) takes over four galleries in Le Marais with more than 150 emerging designers, free to visit with registration \u2014 the closest thing this event has to a talent scouting report, a year ahead of the trends that will eventually reach showroom floors everywhere else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Place de la Bastille gets its own monument this year, care of Studio 5.5<\/strong>, whose textile installation will turn the square into something between a sculpture garden and a fabric swatch the size of a building. Meanwhile, Maison&Objet Pulse’s Design District<\/strong> hosts Future On Stage<\/strong>, spotlighting three boundary-pushing young companies, alongside this edition’s Rising Talent Awards<\/strong>, which turn the spotlight on South African design voices for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New for 2026: The Design Conversations<\/strong>, a forum built for the ideas behind the objects, and an Apartments<\/a><\/strong> design trail that opens a handful of extraordinary private residences to the public \u2014 proof that Paris Design Week 2026 keeps finding new rooms to let people into, literally and otherwise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Spotlight: KOKET’s Soft Pleasures Rug Collection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Paris has a way of making a floor look as expressive as a sculpture, and this year that instinct has us thinking about Soft Pleasures<\/strong>, KOKET’s first-ever rug collection, introduced earlier this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designed under the direction of KOKET Artistic Director Sofia Silva, each rug is handcrafted from a luxurious wool foundation and elevated with bamboo silk reliefs, so that botanical motifs and animal-inspired movement rise off the surface in genuine, touchable dimension. This is floor art in the truest sense \u2014 pieces meant to be felt with bare feet as much as admired from across a room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lineup reads like a garden caught mid-bloom: Flora<\/strong>, with oversized florals and winding lizards underfoot; Serpenti<\/strong>, all fluid, snake-like movement; Poppy<\/strong>‘s bold, asymmetrical blooms; the soft, graceful lines of Orchid<\/strong>; Hibiscus<\/strong>, dramatic and large-scale; the sculptural curves of Ophidia<\/strong>; and Terra<\/strong>, grounded in natural texture and quiet elegance. Every design is customizable in color and scale, because at KOKET we believe a rug should be chosen the way you choose a piece of art \u2014 for how it makes the room feel, not simply how it fills the space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Women of Art Deco: A Parisian Tribute<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If Soft Pleasures is where we look forward, The Women of Art Deco<\/strong> \u2014 a KOKET collection introduced earlier this year, is where we look back. Its inspiration is Paris, 1925, and the Exposition Internationale des Arts D\u00e9coratifs et Industriels Modernes, the very fair that gave Art Deco its name. It was a Paris populated by the gar\u00e7onne<\/em> generation: women with cropped hair, driver’s licenses, fashion houses, ateliers, and salons entirely their own. KOKET’s tribute collection names a piece after each of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Eileen Lounge Chair<\/strong> honors architect and designer Eileen Gray. The Tamara Mirror<\/strong> and Lemprica Table<\/strong> carry the bold geometry of painter Tamara de Lempicka. The Josephine Vanity Cabinet<\/strong> is named for Josephine Baker, performer and wartime Resistance member; the Gabrielle Dining Chair<\/strong> for Gabrielle Chanel; the Jeanne Console with Mirror<\/strong> for couturier Jeanne Lanvin; the Elsa Console with Mirror<\/strong> for Elsa Schiaparelli. Even Eleanor Roosevelt has her place, in the Eleanor Armoire<\/strong> \u2014 a reminder that this era’s influence reached well past the ateliers of Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we put it when we first shared this collection: she is not a memory of the past. She is a presence that endures. And in her honor, we create.<\/em> It is our brand’s founding belief \u2014 celebrating women and empowering through design \u2014 made literal, piece by piece. And with Paris once again at the center of the design world this September, there is no better moment to let these women, and this city, share the stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
