The History of Filigree Art<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Filigree design is a delicate form of metalwork, usually gold or silver, made with tiny beads or twisted threads, or a combination of the two, soldered together. The English word filigree is shortened from the earlier use of filigree which derives from Latin \u201cfilum\u201d meaning thread and \u201cgranum\u201d grain, in the sense of small bead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
