A new luxury retail store and spa “MAISON DECORTÉ” designed by the famous designer Marcel Wanders was recently opened in Tokyo, Japan. It is located within the Ginza Six shopping complex and it has all the visitors need to create a true relationship between nature and skin.
Marcel Wanders signature bells welcome the guests into the store where the walls are covered in a three-dimensional representation of skin cells pairing with flowers in bloom that symbolise the rejuvenation of the skin.
There are three treatment rooms with different intentions, and the interior design was conceived to symbolize each one. A perforated backlit ceiling depicts a lush forest canopy in the treatment room one that aims to protect the skin from the sun damage. A warm and welcoming feeling for the clients.
In treatment room two, the faceted walls and Heracleum chandeliers express the freezing of time and the purification of the skin.
A mysterious atmosphere was created for the treatment room three. Here, the skin and mind are soothed in a softly lit room of curved walls and a ceiling with water rippling effects.
“In 2009, together with Decorté, we started a journey of discovery, innovation, persistence and completion, one that would immerse guests in the elegant traditions of the Japanese culture. Valuing authentic beauty and intelligence, supported by exclusive technology and scientific research, has allowed us to deliver a truly unique tailored experience to uncover youthful, natural feminine beauty,” says the genius Marcel Wanders.
