Today we will talk about one of the strongest names in the interior design world – Kelly Wearstler. She doesn’t need presentations: not only Architectural Digest, but also Elle Decor, Vogue, Wallpape, honored her exquisite work. This year 2017 AD 100 list recognized her innovating and challenging work, her originality and boldness made and keep making difference. Her strong name will stay on top for a long time for sure.
Kelly was born in California and found her own design firm Kelly Wearstler Interior Design in the 90s, at that time her work within the hotel industry gave her a good reputation in California with her playful, elegantly over-the-top designs she changed the look of hotels around the world.
Besides from her furniture collection, nowadays Wearstler sells jewelry and accessories collections to textiles, wallpaper, but also tasty chocolates. Also, she plays with neutrals and rich metallic details creating an effortless yet bold vibe, one of the most recognized characteristics ere the statement furniture pieces or even on little yet strong details in all rooms.
Is not possible to talk about bold interiors without talking about bold colors, and Kelly is the master in this subject, from hot pink to tropical greens and strong yellows, she always create the perfect color palette mix.
Although maximalist is Kelly’s motto, she can also create neutral and romantic interiors with the same unique aesthetic and original approach. Her Interior as you can see in this picture are an artful blend of soulful vintage and contemporary pieces.
The designer brings her fiercely glamorous approach to every interior with a bold pattern, shimmer metallic surfaces, and spirited colors. However, Kelly is equally skilled at the art of organization.
