Chanel is also known for it’s theatrical and cinematic runway shows held in bucket list-worthy locations and mind-blowing settings, and it’s Métiers d’Art pre fall fashion show for 2018 presented in Karl Lagerfeld’s birth country of Germany overnight was certainly no exception.
The show was held at the Elbphilharmonie — a concert hall located in the HafenCity quarter in Hamburg and also the new home of the Hamburg Philharmonic Orchestra — which was designed by renowned Basel-based architecture firm Herzog and de Meuron.
“I think it’s the most interesting new building in Europe in terms of design — Herzog and de Meuron, they are geniuses,” Lagerfeld told British Vogue of the Swiss architectural duo behind the city’s newest landmark. See inside the architectural masterpiece here.
