Unique Louis Vuitton Collection Designed by Karl Lagerfeld and Christian Louboutin
The creative genius behind Chanel and Fendi, Karl Lagerfeld brings his vision to Louis Vuitton, in a celebration of the iconic monogram.
In an innovative project called The Icon and The Iconoclasts, the French designer will join Christian Louboutin, Cindy Sherman, Frank Gehry, Marc Newson and Rei Kawakubo to design a limited-edition collection of bags and pieces of luggage, using the iconic monogram while keeping with the brand’s spirit.
Created in 1896 by Georges Vuitton as a tribute to his father, the iconic LV monogram is one of the most recognized not even in the fashion world, but worldwide.
Initiated by Delphine Arnault, Executive Vice President of Louis Vuitton and Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director of Women’s Collections, this project has tapped six creative minds from disciplines of art, architecture and design, to craft a unique that celebrates the timeless character of the Louis Vuitton monogram.
