The colour, named Greenery, is described by Pantone as a “tangy yellow-green” often seen in foliage. Reflecting the ongoing and highly popular “go-green” movement, it’s strongly associated with nature and the global community.
From the spring 2017 runways specifically, designers like Balenciaga, Pucci, Sies Marjan, Michael Kors, Kenzo and Zac Posen created clothes in what Pantone calls the nature’s neutral. Greenery was already mentioned in the institute’s top 10 colours for the fashion industry in spring 2017, released back in September.
It’s also a fun accent hue for interiors and exteriors alike. This vegetal hue makes a terrific addition to any room.
KOKET has already embraced the fresh and hopeful color by displaying several pieces in this hue. If you like this green but fear it might be a bit too intense in large doses, think about adding it in smaller, quieter ways, such as through key elements like the Rita Stool or the Gem Table Lamp.
It’s a great accent choice if you’re looking to make a statement. Look at the way that these lime green upholstered stools add a pop of color accent to this black, white and gold restaurant interior.
Evoking certain shades of grass and trees, the tangy yellow-green is reminiscent of fresh foliage and the various green hues throughout nature. Although lighter and brighter, this color reminds one to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate.
